The Curse of Daksha on Chandra
Chandra, enamored by his wife Rohini, neglected the 27 daughters of Daksha, who were also his brides. Enraged by her husband's favoritism, Daksha cursed Chandra, causing him to wane and fade. Thus, the moon was doomed to wax and wane, a testament to the consequences of attachment and the fickleness of divine love.
