Surya and Sanjna's Love
Long ago, in the vast expanse of the cosmos, Surya the Sun God fell in love with Sanjna, the beautiful daughter of Vishwakarma, the divine architect.
The two were inseparable, spending their days basking in each other's light. Sanjna found joy in the warmth and life-giving properties of Surya's rays, while he reveled in her gentle presence.
However, as time passed, Sanjna began to feel the heat of Surya's love growing unbearable. His radiance was too intense for her delicate form to bear, and she fled from his embrace, seeking solace in the cool shade of a nearby tree.
Seeing his beloved Sanjna suffering, Surya grew distraught. He sought out Vishwakarma, his father-in-law, and pleaded for help. The divine architect took pity on him and trimmed the edges of Surya's rays, making them softer and gentler.
With these new, milder rays, Sanjna was able to return to her love. She and Surya were reunited under the canopy of stars, their love burning bright but not too hot for either to bear.
From this union sprang Yama, the lord of the dead; Yamuna, the river that quenches all thirsts; Shani, the slow-moving planet that tests all souls; and the Ashwins, the healers and helpers who bring wisdom and grace.
Thus, Surya and Sanjna's love story is one of finding balance in the midst of passion. It reminds us that even the strongest flames can be tamed with care and understanding.
