Mohini and the Amrita

In the cosmic ocean of samudra, the gods and demons churned the depths for the nectar of immortality. But it would be distributed fairly, lest conflict arise. So Vishnu took the form of Mohini, most enchanting of women. Her beauty and grace flowed like the Ganga. The devas marveled at her fairness. And as she held forth the amrita, no demon dared take more than his share. Her just discernment saw that all received according to dharma. Thus was balance achieved, and mortal life preserved through time untold.
