In the land of ancient India, in a time long past, Lord Shiva, the destroyer of the cosmos, found himself in love with Parvati, a beautiful goddess. Their union brought forth a son, Kartikeya, who would grow to become one of the most powerful deities in the Hindu pantheon. Kartikeya was born from a fire that emerged from Shiva's third eye. As he exited the flames, it became clear that this child was different, possessing an inherent strength and wisdom beyond his years. To nurture him, Parvati entrusted Kartikeya to six celestial nymphs known as the Krittikas, who raised him with love and care. As Kartikeya grew, he displayed exceptional skill in warfare and quickly became a formidable leader among the gods. He commanded the deva army with ease and was revered for his bravery. To symbolize his authority, Kartikeya rode atop a majestic peacock, which became his signature mount. His weapon of choice was the Vel, a spear that represented both his speed and precision in battle. The purpose of Kartikeya's existence was to rid the world of evil and restore peace. He set out on a quest to find and defeat Tarakasura, a powerful daitya who had performed severe penances to gain near-invincibility. Though Tarakasura's strength was unmatched, it was his pride and tyranny that ultimately led to his downfall. Kartikeya emerged victorious in the battle against Tarakasura, slaying the evil daemon once and for all. With this act, he restored balance and harmony to the three worlds. Kartikeya became known as Subrahmanya, the commander of the celestial army, and continued to uphold justice throughout the cosmos.
